2.) Summarizing the book:
Using the vocabulary words from the word wall, write a three to four sentence summarizing the book using at least seven of the vocabulary words.
Voices Activity:
1.) Creating a Conversation:
Since the big wolf and little wolf has very little dialogue in the book, I want you to write out the wolves conversations. Using the thoughts and ideas from this story, create some sentences about what the wolves might say to each other. Be sure to incorporate some emotional responses in your dialogue. The wolves could be happy, mad, upset, mad, serious, worried, concerned, or other words describe how they feel.
Writing Ideas:
A theme is a message, topic, lesson or idea that the author wants to share with you the reader. The author can either openly state the theme
or they can hide it the theme within the text for you to find.
1.) Themes and Reflections:
This book has a lot of great themes about friendship, passing judgement on to others, companionship, care, and more.
Pick two themes from the story and talk about their importance. Afterwards write about how you can apply these themes to your life. Then write a statement, lesson, modo, or theme that you currently live by and compare it to the story. If one of the themes you chose from the story matches up with your own personal theme or modo, then just compare the two themes. Once you are finished, create your own plaque by drawing a picture of your theme at the top and the two themes you liked in the story below it.
2.) Your Ideal Setting:
if you could live anywhere in the world where would you live? Where would your story take place and what would surrounding look like? I want you to describe your dream home and its location. The place you choose to live must be close to wildlife. It could be near a forests, fields, or hills like they do in the story. Other ideas are that you could describe lakes, ponds, mountains, or whatever. Choose a location away from the rest of the world, but most of all away from cities. Talk about the things you see, smell, hear, and feel that surround you.
3.) What Animal Are You?
If you could be any fierce animal in the world what would you be? I want you to write a story about your animal and two themes that you find important. Make sure that you follow the structure of the book by using big or little to describe your animal. Then include another animal using big or little. The animal can be the same as yours or different. AS you get started write out your two themes before you write your story. I have an example attached below
